About Travel Guard – this role is part of our Travel Guard team. Travel Guard is a leading travel insurance brand, serving millions of leisure and business travellers worldwide. Established in 1982 we offer a comprehensive portfolio of travel insurance solutions and global assistance services. Travel Guard operates service centres across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, ensuring 24/7 support to help travellers navigate unexpected circumstances that may disrupt their plans.
What you’ll be doing:
- Deliver quality, understandable code by learning and implementing defined coding best practices
- Refactor and restructure the code base with the support of Principal and Senior team members
- Provide Tier II support for assigned applications
- Recommend enhancements, optimizations and improvements of assigned applications
- Follow specifications and work on new application features
- Write Unit Tests and/or Integration Tests to support all coding changes
- Work closely with Principal and Senior team members for mentorship and to work through issues
- Mentor Junior team members, preparing them for added responsibilities and duties
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers within company guidelines, regulatory obligations and SLAs
- Collaborate and provide regular reporting and updates with key stakeholders across the Cover‑More Group
What skills and experience you’ll bring on this journey:
- Experience as a .Net Developer
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft .Net technologies (C#, Web API) and Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience of working with TFS, Git or other similar source code repositories
- Experience working as a full stack developer
- Experience developing with front-end web application frameworks, such as Angular/React/Blazor – desirable
- Experience developing SOAP/WCF Web services – desirable
- Strong communicator with the ability to convey information and resolve user issues
- Ability to prioritise and manage workload, ensuring efficient handling of user inquiries
