What’s the job?
This is a newly created role to support the rollout and integration of Zurich Cover-More’s Internal Control Integrated Framework across our EMEA business. Working with a range of stakeholders, the role will focus on establishing robust controls, ensuring processes are well-documented, tested and aligned with Zurich Group standards, while also reflecting local business activities and regulatory requirements.
You’ll contribute to the design and implementation of sustainable controls that integrate local requirements, legacy processes, and centralized/group controls, including ICFR, financial reporting, business, operational, and IT controls.
You’ll provide training, education, and communication to build awareness and embed controls in day-to-day operations.
You’ll assist in developing and executing initial testing to evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of key controls.
You’ll act as a trusted advisor to regional finance teams and business leaders on risks, control expectations, compliance and best practices.
You’ll work closely with the central Internal Controls team to ensure regional implementation is consistent with group standards.
This position is offered as an 18-month maximum term contract.
What are we looking for?
- We are looking for a strong communicator and collaborator who can engage with diverse stakeholders and are able to translate complex control concepts into practical solutions to drive change in a fast-paced and complex environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and proven experience in internal controls, risk management, audit or related roles within a global matrix environment (financial services experience highly regarded).
- Strong track record in designing, implementing and managing internal control frameworks, including control walkthroughs, testing and effectiveness assessments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex control concepts and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Flexibility to engage with teams across multiple international time zones.
