About Cover-More Europe: This role is part of our Cover-More Europe team. Cover-More Europe provides insurance solutions through a number of different customer-facing brands across travel, car hire, specialty, and pet sectors in the United Kingdom, Ireland and the rest of Europe. What you’ll be doing: In this role you will…
- Elicit, analyse, and document business requirements with a focus on both process improvements and robust data needs.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and feedback sessions to gather, validate, and refine both functional and data-specific requirements, aligning stakeholder expectations.
- Work closely with PM’s, local SMEs, and global data governance leads to ensure accountability and timely delivery of both business and data-related project deliverables.
- Help embed audit readiness through thorough documentation of data definitions, stewardship actions, and governance decisions.
- Support change management initiatives by educating business teams on new data tools, processes, roles, and responsibilities.
What skills and experience you’ll bring on this journey:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst preferably with a specialisation in Data and a focus on data governance, data quality, or stewardship.
- Strong understanding of data management principles, including metadata, lineage, master data and data quality frameworks.
- Ability to translate business needs into structured requirements, user stories, and governance artefacts.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills, particularly in navigating complex or distributed business environments.
- Hands-on experience with tools like Excel, Power BI, Visio, and data documentation platforms (e.g., Informatica).
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and the ability to manage ambiguity through structured thinking.
- Understanding of data privacy, compliance, and regulatory frameworks such as GDPR.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with enterprise data governance tool Informatica.
- Experience working in regulated industries or complex data environments.
- Exposure to data warehouse or BI environments and knowledge of reporting/analytics workflows.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., DAMA, DCAM, BCS BA certification) or formal training in data governance.
