About the Role
As a Compliance Specialist on our Compliance Team, you will assist with the implementation and maintenance of regulatory and licensing compliance strategies for Cover Genius across the EMEA region, including the UK. You will support the regional compliance manager in maintaining the company’s compliance programs and ensure that the insurance business has adequate controls, procedures, and processes in place to comply with all laws, regulations, and codes applicable to the sale of insurance, warranty, and related products.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversight of the company’s compliance requirements, policies, and internal guidelines.
- Support the compliance team with compliance requests including due diligence questionnaires and regulatory filings.
- Assist with the establishment and maintenance of the Compliance processes and procedures.
- Provide appropriate reporting to the company’s management and board, as well as external partners and regulators.
- Understand and be aware of regulatory changes and assist in providing implementation of required changes.
- Work cross-functionally with teams to facilitate responses to regulatory requests.
- Support periodic reviews to proactively identify compliance gaps.
What you will bring
- 3+ years experience in a compliance role within the insurance industry.
- Knowledge and understanding of Authorized Representative filings and relevant compliance obligations.
- Experience with identification, assessment, and management frameworks for insurance risks.
- Understanding of compliance analytics and risk measures.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and build relationships with key stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt quickly to a scale-up pace environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a postgraduate degree is desirable.
