About the service:

• Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire Mind has three 24‑hour residential units:
• St Clair Gardens – Staffed 24 hours a day by nurses, therapists and support workers, it provides care and support to adults who may be receiving treatment in hospital or secure settings. A person‑centred, recovery‑based programme supports residents toward community reintegration.
• Harry Salt House – Home to our Intensive Recovery Support Service (IRSS). The service is delivered in two ways:
  • IRSS Accommodation – 3–7 hours of support per day at Harry Salt House, with a night concierge.
  • IRSS Community – 7 or more hours of support per week to a client living in the community.
• Berry Mews – A new 24‑hour residential unit designed for adults on their mental health recovery journey, offering safe, supported accommodation where residents rebuild confidence, stability and independence.

About the role:

The Recovery Enablement Worker delivers high‑quality, person‑centred practical and emotional support to clients residing within our 24‑hour recovery units. The role focuses on empowerment, wellbeing, equality, diversity and inclusion, enabling clients to achieve and sustain independence. Duties may include light‑touch personal care in line with individual needs and care plans. The worker supports clients to develop the skills, confidence and resilience required to manage mental health, sustain tenancies and progress along the accommodation pathway toward greater independence and positive recovery outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

• Assess referrals and contribute to assessment and allocation processes for prospective clients.
• Complete, review and update individual risk assessments and risk management plans to ensure client safety and wellbeing.
• Support clients throughout the move‑in process, including preparing accommodation, organising moves and completing all relevant paperwork.
• Support clients with budgeting, rent, service charges, benefits and financial management, working in partnership with the benefits advice team and external agencies to maximise income and sustain tenancies.
• Deliver person‑centred practical and emotional support, promoting recovery, independence, resilience and wellbeing.
• Maintain regular and meaningful contact with clients through planned support sessions, face‑to‑face meetings, telephone support and welfare checks.
• Act as a lead worker for allocated clients, coordinating support plans, reviews and risk management.
• Work across all 24‑hour Recovery Support Residentials within Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire Mind.

Qualifications:

• Experience supporting service users with mental health is essential.
• Experience in the mental health care sector is desirable.
• Experience in supported housing or social care settings is desirable.
• Able to use a computer and/or other electronic device.
• Ability and experience working with a wide range of people.
• Proactive, self‑motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• A compassionate and empathetic approach to individuals with mental health challenges.
• Knowledge of mental health conditions, supported accommodation services and recovery‑focused approaches.
• A valid driver’s licence and business insurance is desirable for travel between residentials.
