Hours: Working flexibly up to 18 hours (0.5FTE) per week

1 in 5 adults in England is living with a common mental health problem and rates are rising steadily. Are you passionate about using your marketing and communications skills to support our work addressing mental health challenges across Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire? We are looking for an experienced, capable and energetic Marketing Services Manager – someone who demonstrates initiative and a willingness to deliver a real mix of marketing-based activities, and who will lead our small marketing and communications team.

About the role:

  • To manage the marketing and communications team with day-to-day tasks and administration.
  • This role will be based at our Head Office in Allesley.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the effective delivery of marketing and communications support, promoting high standards, responsiveness and performance.
  • Task and activity management of Marketing Assistant and Outreach Officer – task and objective setting, providing guidance and routine support through day-to-day and weekly interactions and progress meetings.
  • Provide line management for the marketing staff team (as assigned by the Head of Operational Development), including six-weekly supervision, annual appraisals, and probationary reviews where required, and manage any recruitment, disciplinary, absence, or complaints matters in line with organisational policies and CWW Mind’s values.
  • Facilitate staff training and development needs to ensure a skilled, knowledgeable team.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider organisation to maximise the understanding, and impact, of our marketing and communications support, including planning and delivering occasional marketing-focused workshops and training sessions.
  • Attend and contribute towards internal/external organisational meetings and briefings as required.
  • Support the Head of Operational Development with timely marketing and comms-related input into tender submissions, grant and funding applications.
  • Create graphic and written content for a variety of print and digital media, in support of organisation’s needs, including content generation, copywriting for internal and external communication, and the planning and production of video content.
  • Lead on the maintenance and future development of the organisation’s various websites, ensuring content is current, navigable and routinely refreshed.
  • Lead on targeted comms activity in support of services and broader organisational performance needs such as planning and service reviews.

Requirements:

  • Previously/currently employed in a similar related role.
  • Line management experience of staff or volunteers.
  • Creating marketing strategies and undertaking actions that achieve stated goals.
  • Fully computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft 365.
  • Ability to research and disseminate information.
  • Awareness of the issues affecting people with mental health problems – we value people with lived experience.
  • Educated to degree level/equivalent or two years of experience in a related post.
  • Car driver with access to a car (with business use insurance cover) and prepared for travel across Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire.

You will be required to have appropriate business insurance on your vehicle to enable you to travel across Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire as part of the requirements of this role. This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
