Our people are key to our success and each role contributes to the Group’s ongoing progress in communities around the world.
The Role: Do you have a passion for CRM automation and creating personalised, data‑driven experiences? We’re looking for a CRM Automation Specialist to help transform how we engage with students and deliver seamless, omni‑channel journeys across the student lifecycle. As the technical lead for CRM marketing automation, you’ll work closely with campaign teams and product owners to design and optimise automated workflows, using CRM tools and data to deliver the right message at the right time. While experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is highly desirable, we welcome candidates with strong CRM automation skills from any major platform. You’ll use tools such as Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, and SQL (or similar technologies) to build dynamic, personalised campaigns that support recruitment, conversion, and retention. You’ll champion best practice, troubleshoot workflows, contribute to transformation projects, and explore opportunities such as AI‑driven personalisation to enhance performance, all while maintaining high standards of data governance and GDPR compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and optimise automated journeys across the student lifecycle.
- Drive personalisation strategies using CRM data and behavioural insights.
- Maintain and enhance CRM workflows for accuracy, reliability, and performance.
- Integrate CRM activity across channels (email, SMS, web, events).
- Support data governance, data quality, and GDPR compliant processes.
- Translate technical CRM capabilities into practical solutions for stakeholders.
Our Successful Candidate: You’ll bring a blend of technical skills, creativity, and problem-solving, along with:
- Significant experience in CRM administration/configuration within Salesforce or another enterprise-level CRM or marketing automation platform.
- Experience designing and optimising multichannel, personalised journeys aligned to contact strategies.
- Confidence working with complex data sets, segmentation, and behavioural triggers.
- Experience using SQL, AMPscript, HTML or similar tools for marketing automation (desirable rather than essential).
- A track record of contributing to both transformation projects and BAU optimisation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Experience in Further or Higher Education would be advantageous.
- Educated to degree level or able to demonstrate equivalent significant experience in a similar role.
The Benefits:
- Excellent Employers Pension Contribution
- 30 days Annual leave plus Bank Holidays
- New Holiday Purchase Scheme up to 5 additional days
- Life Assurance 4 x Salary
- BUPA Cash Plan
- CU Reward Scheme – Discounts across a range of High Street/ Online Retailers

We harness the power and potential of the diverse cultures, backgrounds, abilities, and experiences of our students, colleagues, and partners to create opportunities for all.
