The Role

We are seeking a motivated and student-focused Careers and Experience Advisor to join our growing team. This role is central to supporting students and recent graduates as they navigate career decisions, gain confidence, and prepare for their next steps.
Key Responsibilities
- Specialist Career Guidance
- Deliver personalised, high-quality career advice and coaching to students and recent graduates.
- Build expertise in specific industry sectors or client groups, using this insight to tailor guidance.
- Application & Development Support
- Assist students with applications to graduate schemes, apprenticeships, volunteering opportunities, further study, and entrepreneurial pathways.
- Manage a caseload of clients, tracking key milestones and ensuring consistent progression.
- Events & Experience Delivery
- Support the planning and delivery of employability events including employer networking sessions, guest speaker talks, and information fairs.
- Help create meaningful experiences that strengthen students' confidence and career readiness.
- Workshops & Group Interventions
- Design and deliver engaging workshops that improve students' understanding of career options, job-search strategies, and professional development skills.
- Present confidently to groups of various sizes, adapting content to meet diverse needs.
Our Successful Candidate
As a Careers and Experience Advisor you will demonstrate experience of providing virtual and in-person career guidance and support in educational or professional settings. You will require excellent knowledge of current graduate labour market and recruitment practices and the ability to design and deliver engaging group virtual and in-person career development activities and presentations. Understanding of higher education and its relationship to employability is also required for this role.

- Confident and engaging, particularly in public speaking, delivering workshops, and interacting with employers and partners.
