Are you a dedicated advocate ready to lead a life-changing service for survivors? CRASAC (Coventry Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre) is looking for a motivated and experienced Advocacy & Outreach Manager to lead our Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) team and drive the expansion of our outreach services. This is a pivotal, delivery-focused role for someone who is passionate about survivor rights and wants to ensure that the voices of those with lived experience are at the heart of everything we do.

Hours: 30 hours per week – to include Monday evening until 8pm and occasional evenings to cover external events or meetings

Location: Coventry - office based

The Role

As the Advocacy & Outreach Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational delivery of our advocacy services and the expansion of our outreach service. You will lead a team of specialist ISVAs, ensuring every survivor receives high-quality, trauma-informed support as they navigate the Criminal Justice System. You will be a bridge between CRASAC and our external partners, representing the organisation at meetings with the Police and CJS stakeholders. Beyond the office, you will be an ambitious driver of growth, leading the expansion of our outreach offer to reach survivors in every corner of our community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead & Coordinate: Oversee the daily operations of the ISVA service, manage team casework, and ensure consistent safeguarding cover through effective rota management.
  • Empower Survivors: Establish a new internal advisory group and facilitate ‘Victim Voice’ projects for external partners, ensuring survivor insights ethically shape strategic goals.
  • Collaborate: Act as the operational bridge between CRASAC and CJS partners (Police/CPS) to advocate for survivors’ rights and promote understanding of our services.
  • Expand Outreach & Training: Nurture relationships with community and statutory organisations to grow our presence. You will manage our training enquiry pipeline, liaising with specialist trainers and our Marketing & Communications Officer to promote our expertise and support those who find our services hard to reach.

About You

We are looking for a courageous and relational self-starter with a deep commitment to the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) sector. You should have:

  • Proven experience in leading frontline teams and coordinating advocacy: You are an agile leader with the ability to manage complex casework and rotas. You possess a ‘high EQ’ allowing you to lead with empathy while maintaining the professional discipline required to support a specialist ISVA team.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the capacity to build strategic partnerships: You are a natural relationship-builder, comfortable liaising with CJS partners and statutory bodies. You have the courage to pilot new projects and the analytical mindset to evaluate what works.
  • The ability to manage sensitive operations with absolute discretion and professionalism: You are highly organised and can master complex frameworks quickly. You are comfortable handling the essential administration of the service, from safeguarding agendas and minutes to managing our training enquiry pipeline.
  • A proactive approach to delivery, balanced with a commitment to internal collaboration: You are a motivated self-starter who identifies opportunities for growth and takes ownership of results. Crucially, you understand the importance of communicating with the management team and stakeholders before implementing change.
