About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Lecturer to join our team, delivering high-quality teaching, learning and assessment to support our learners in achieving their full potential. You’ll play a key role in designing and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons that meet curriculum standards and reflect industry needs.
As a Lecturer at Coventry College, you’ll contribute to curriculum development, provide academic and pastoral support to learners, and work closely with colleagues and external partners to ensure an outstanding learning experience. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire the next generation and help shape the future workforce of our city.
You will be familiar with the current issues and challenges within FE and have experience of working with challenging behaviour alongside providing interventions to ensure learner success. As a Lecturer in Foundation studies, you should:
- Hold a relevant teaching qualification, or be willing to work towards one.
- Experience in working with learners with multiple and complex barriers to learning.
- Hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in the relevant subject area; Degree in English/Maths is desirable.
- Experience in providing targeted academic, behavioural and pastoral interventions.
- Evidence continuing professional development.
You should also be able to demonstrate:
- Teaching experience in a relevant subject area.
- Application of quality improvement and assurance processes, including internal verification.
- Successful course and curriculum development.
