We are looking for a motivated and professional individual to join our team in a key business support role. You will play an important part in helping the College run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall learner and staff experience. Whether supporting students, staff, systems, or services, you’ll bring a positive approach and a strong focus on customer service, teamwork, and attention to detail. We are looking to increase our existing team of ALS Co-Ordinator’s, based within our Learner Support Services department, from where specialist support is provided for a range of individual learner needs to include mental health, dyslexia, dyspraxia and financial support and guidance. Are you an organised, pro-active, enthusiastic and personable individual? The successful candidate will liaise with external agencies, ie schools, CAMHS, Local Authority, making the necessary arrangements to ensure learners with SEND are supported in their transition from school to College and throughout their time at College. You will identify individual support needs, draw up support plans, attend external EHCP review meetings, lead EHCP College reviews in conjunction with external agencies, parents/guardians and teaching staff and ensure documentation is kept updated.

You will maintain a caseload of students with EHCPs and other additional support needs and ensure relevant information is disseminated as appropriate. You will need to produce reports and statistical information as required by the Head of Learner Services.

Requirements

  • Hold a minimum of Level 2 qualification in Maths and English
  • Possess a relevant professional qualification
  • Have experience of working in a multi-functional cross-College team
  • Have experience of maintaining a caseload of young people and setting targets which address barriers to learning and support achievement
