Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for pupils, parents, and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment.
- Provide reception cover and general administrative support for the school.
- Handle telephone calls, emails, and enquiries professionally.
- Manage pupil records and maintain accurate data, including FSM/PP updates.
- Process payments for school meals, trips, and other activities, following cash handling procedures.
- Assist with ordering and maintaining office supplies.
- Undertake photocopying, laminating, scanning, and other clerical tasks.
- Support communication with parents regarding pupil welfare and emergencies.
- Process purchase orders and invoices accurately for audit purposes.
- Assist with organising school trips, clubs, and events.
- Help raise the school’s profile through social media and community engagement.
Who are we looking for?
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills – able to interact professionally with pupils, parents, staff, and visitors.
- Strong organisational skills – ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- Attention to detail – accurate record-keeping and data entry.
- IT proficiency – experience with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn school systems (e.g., MIS).
- Confidentiality and discretion – handling sensitive information in line with GDPR and safeguarding policies.
- Team player – collaborative approach and flexibility to support colleagues.
- Customer service skills – providing a welcoming and helpful front-of-house experience.
- Ability to work under pressure – maintaining professionalism during busy periods.
- Basic financial skills – handling payments and processing invoices accurately.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures – commitment to child protection and school policies
