Coundon Primary School is looking to appoint a Catering Assistant to work as part of a busy team in our fast-paced school kitchen. You will work alongside our Catering Team, delivering school dinners to the children at Coundon Primary School, in a fun and friendly manner.

The role is term-time only and the hours of work are 11.30am until 1.45pm daily.

Who are we looking for?

  • Has experience in basic food handling in either a working or non-working environment.
  • Is aware of Catering Procedures and Health and Safety requirements.
  • Can work independently and as part of a team.

We can offer training, support and an experienced, welcoming team of catering staff to work alongside.

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced criminal record check via the DBS, all relevant safeguarding and pre-employment clearances, and the receipt of two satisfactory references.

The closing date for applications is midnight on Monday 31st August 2026. Interview Date W/B – Monday 7th September 2026. Salary £6,413 (Pro-rata) (Pay award Pending). Contract Type Part Time Permanent.
