The Partnerships Activation Manager will play a key role in delivering and growing Coventry City Football Club's commercial partnerships, ensuring partners receive exceptional service and measurable value from their investment. Reporting to the Partnerships Activation Lead, the successful candidate will manage a portfolio of commercial partners, developing creative activation programmes that strengthen relationships, contributing to long-term commercial success.
Working closely with departments across the Club including Marketing, Brand, Media, Retail and Football Operations, this role will ensure partnership rights are delivered seamlessly and to the highest standard.
- Partnership Management
- Manage a portfolio of commercial partners, delivering contractual rights in line with partnership agreements.
- Develop and deliver bespoke activation plans aligned to partner objectives and the Club's commercial strategy.
- Maintain partnership rights trackers, activation plans and seasonal reporting.
- Monitor partnership performance, providing insight and recommendations to maximise return on investment.
- Identify opportunities to enhance partnerships, increase rights utilisation and support renewal and upsell conversations.
- Ensure all partnership assets are delivered accurately on time and in accordance with Club standards.
- Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local, national and international partners.
- Develop a detailed understanding of partner objectives, identifying opportunities to deliver additional value throughout the season.
- Lead regular partnership review meetings, presenting campaign performance, insights and future recommendations.
- Work collaboratively with partners to identify PR, content and award opportunities that showcase successful activations.
- Activation & Campaign Delivery
- Create innovative, integrated activation campaigns across digital, retail, matchday and event platforms.
- Work closely with Marketing, Media, Retail and Football Operations to coordinate partnership activity.
- Plan and deliver matchday activations, player appearances, content capture and partner events.
- Ensure all partnership activity reflects the Club's brand guidelines and enhances the supporter experience.
- Monitor campaign performance and produce post-campaign evaluations demonstrating partner value and commercial impact.
Experience and Skills
- Experience in commercial partnerships and sponsorship activation ideally within professional sport, entertainment or a similar industry.
- Proven experience managing multiple stakeholder relationships and delivering contractual rights.
- Excellent communication, presentation and relationship management skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities to grow partner value.
- Creative thinker with the ability to develop engaging sponsorship activations.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent project management skills.
