We are seeking an Advanced Social Worker (Advanced Practitioner) to join our South Area Help and Protection team. This role involves overseeing complex cases in children’s services and providing coaching, mentoring and support to both newly qualified and experienced social workers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of the most complex cases within children’s services.
- Provide coaching, mentoring and professional support to social workers.
- Offer guidance in high complexity situations and decision‑making on case work.
- Support permanency planning, court work and other statutory responsibilities.

Qualifications
- Recognised professional Social Work qualification (MA/BA/BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work or CQSW) and Social Work England registration.
- Experience working with children and families in statutory social care setting.
- Demonstrable experience in decision‑making on case work from Children in Need to Permanency Planning, including Court Work.
- Strong commitment to diversity and inclusion.
