Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people? Coventry City Council is looking for a dynamic and strategic leader to join our team as the West Midlands Vanguard Partnership Lead. This high-profile role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of the Coventry Children's Services and West Midlands Vanguard, driving the strategic development and operational expansion of the Vanguard Partnership. This is a fixed term contract for 3 years.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

As the West Midlands Vanguard Partnership Lead, you will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing a trauma-informed practice and care model across the children's social care sector. You will collaborate with partners across Coventry and Warwickshire, lead quality assurance in trauma-informed social care, and support frontline social care managers with trauma-informed pathways for learning and development. Your innovative approach will introduce best practices to frontline practitioners, ensuring the use of Trauma Informed practice by Children's Social care teams. You will monitor the quality of reflective individual supervision arrangements, lead discussions on current trauma-informed practice issues, and manage Lead Trauma Informed Trainers for training and professional development. Additionally, you will participate in the Edge of Care emergency out-of-hours senior team on-call rota, ensuring comprehensive support for children and young people.
