Overview
All Saints Church of England Primary is a thriving one form entry school in the heart of Coventry. Our children benefit from our location as we are within walking distance from the city centre whilst being situated next to the river, woodlands, and open space of Charterhouse Fields. The school is committed to raising standards and ensuring that each pupil is prepared for the challenges life presents, whilst developing a love of learning and having fun. Our Christian Vision is lived out by all members of our school community. We are now looking to appoint 3 enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistants to join our team. This role will involve supporting children with a wide range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), with a particular focus on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), working both in class and in small group settings. The successful candidate will also provide dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with specific needs.
Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning within the classroom and in small group interventions.
- Provide 1:1 support for children with special educational needs.
- Assist with planning and delivering tailored interventions under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO.
- Help to create an inclusive, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
We are looking for
- Holds an NVQ Level 2 childcare-related qualification (or equivalent).
- Has a good understanding of how children learn and develop.
- Ideally has experience of working in a primary school setting.
- Has experience or interest in working with children with specific and/or complex needs.
- Can work effectively with individuals and small groups of children.
- Is adaptable, enthusiastic, and able to show initiative.
- Has strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Is able to work well as part of our whole school team and school community.
- Has a passion for quality teaching and learning, enabling the best outcomes for our children.
- Supports our Christian ethos as a church school.
