Coventry Alternative Provision Academy, part of the Solihull Alternative Provision Multi Academy Trust (SAPMAT) is a Nurturing, Restorative, Sustainable, SEND-Friendly Alternative Provision. We focus on creating a nurturing and restorative environment for students with diverse needs striving to make a positive impact on a child\’s whole development. What is the job role? We focus on Well-being and Social-Emotional Learning: Supportive Environment: The program prioritises student well-being and social-emotional learning, creating a nurturing and trauma-informed environment. This can be fulfilling for those who want to make a positive impact on a child\’s whole development. Collaboration and Relationships: The restorative practice approach emphasises building relationships and resolving conflict constructively. This can foster a more collaborative and supportive school community. We cater to diverse needs: SEND Expertise: The curriculum is SEND-friendly, and the school offers inclusive teaching practices. This allows you to develop your expertise in working with students with diverse needs, which can be both challenging and rewarding. Bespoke Curriculum: The bespoke curriculum allows for creativity and tailoring lessons to individual student needs while encouraging the aspects of PACE: (Play, Attention, Curiosity, and Exploration) to encourage active learning through play-based and child-centred approaches. We encourage professional development and growth: Small Class Sizes: Small class sizes allow for more individualised attention to both students and teachers. You\’ll have the opportunity to provide more focused support and receive more professional development opportunities. Staff Wellbeing: We care about the wellbeing of our staff by creating a positive work environment, offering professional development opportunities across the academy.
