We are currently looking for warm, positive, and dedicated individuals to work in our Adult Social Care Services team, providing person-centred support to adults with a variety of complex needs within Housing with Care. You will promote independence and personalised approaches in a safe, respectful, and dignified manner; giving people choice and control over the services they are using and ensuring the best possible outcomes for individuals.
Working alongside our dedicated team you will provide personal, practical, emotional, and social support to individuals, enabling them to have a great quality of life as important and valued members of the local community. This is a hands-on role in which no two days are the same. You will need to be physically fit, have a flexible, patient, and non-judgmental approach to your work, and be able to demonstrate and adapt excellent communication skills.
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.
Responsibilities and requirements
- Ideally, you will either have a Diploma 2 or equivalent (NVQ 3 in Social Care).
- Have a good knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Be able to work with management to ensure that all Service Users’ needs are being met to support their individual outcomes.
- The ability to use own initiative and respond flexibly to the needs of Service Users, promoting dignity, respect, and choice at all times.
