We are looking to recruit a dynamic, enthusiastic and passionate music educator to grow opportunities for children and young people across the city. This role involves teaching and supporting our tutor team across a variety of settings while expanding and implementing key strategies of the Heart of England Music Hub, focusing on inclusion and access for all children and young people in the city.
Full‑time expectations include delivering 20 hours of music provision per week in Coventry schools and music centres, building tuition and developing new pathways for aspiring musicians. A working day per week during term time is allocated for developing programmes and opportunities outside of teaching time.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and lead music sessions in their area of expertise across schools and music centres.
- Generate and maintain relationships with schools and stakeholders to expand music education delivery citywide.
- Co‑ordinate projects and events both inside and outside of the school day, including rehearsals and group sessions, and be flexible to work evenings and weekends throughout the year.
- Support Coventry Music’s strategic goals within the Heart of England Music Hub, including inclusion and access initiatives.
- Contribute to programme development, new pathways, and the training of staff and volunteers.
Qualifications
Sponsorship is not offered. Appointment is conditional on satisfactory disclosure and banning service (DBS) checks in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
