Coventry City Council is inviting a Part‐Time (18.5 hours a week) Business Analyst to join the West Midlands Commissioning Hub team. This role supports the 14 West Midlands Local Authorities and Trusts by providing high‐quality data analysis and insights on a two‐year fixed‐term contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support intelligence performance reporting and insights for the West Midlands Commissioning Hub and the 14 Local Authorities and Trusts.
  • Develop data models and visualisations using Power BI.
  • Produce reports, dashboards, and analytical products to inform strategic and operational decisions.
  • Gather and prepare high‐quality data from multiple sources, including education, social care, and national datasets.
  • Present insights clearly and confidently to influence decision‐making across regional partners.

Candidate Profile

  • Strong analytical and decision‐making skills.
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting, ideally within a Local Authority.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI, with knowledge of SQL.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Highly organised, able to manage competing priorities, and passionate about using data to improve children's services across the West Midlands.
