Coventry City Council is inviting a PartâTime (18.5 hours a week) Business Analyst to join the West Midlands Commissioning Hub team. This role supports the 14 West Midlands Local Authorities and Trusts by providing highâquality data analysis and insights on a twoâyear fixedâterm contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Support intelligence performance reporting and insights for the West Midlands Commissioning Hub and the 14 Local Authorities and Trusts.
- Develop data models and visualisations using Power BI.
- Produce reports, dashboards, and analytical products to inform strategic and operational decisions.
- Gather and prepare highâquality data from multiple sources, including education, social care, and national datasets.
- Present insights clearly and confidently to influence decisionâmaking across regional partners.
Candidate Profile
- Strong analytical and decisionâmaking skills.
- Experience in data analysis and reporting, ideally within a Local Authority.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI, with knowledge of SQL.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Highly organised, able to manage competing priorities, and passionate about using data to improve children's services across the West Midlands.
