Responsibilities
- Overnight carer â support children with complex health needs, develop a safe sleep routine and provide personal care as required; maintain accurate care plans.
- Relationship builder â build positive relationships, promote childâcentred development, and communicate in ways that meet each child's needs.
- Educator â share accessible information with children, empower them to make informed choices about their care and future.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children and young people; residency or progressive care positions welcome.
- Understanding of challenges faced by lookedâafter children and ability to respond to unique needs in a childâcentred way.
- Excellent communication, empathy, resilience, flexibility, accountability and collaborative teamwork.
- Strong computer literacy for documentation and evidence; ability to pursue training and Diploma for Residential Childcare.
Working Patterns & Post
- Part-time 22 hours per week Waking Night Carer positions on fixed 9âweek rota, including weekends and bank holidays. Training opportunities may be scheduled during the day.
