The Service is seeking a tutor with relevant skills, knowledge and experience to design, plan, deliver and report on Early Years Programmes. These will include (non)accredited courses taught online and/or face-to-face in a range of community settings within the city. Initially, the role will focus on the delivery of Early Years Educator, Early Years Practitioner, Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools from Level 1 up to Level 3. Provision will be delivered during the daytime and/or evening throughout the year, to meet identified needs., For this role you will have up to date knowledge of curriculum practice and issues in Early Years Education, and relevant teaching experience within a community-based adult education context from Level 1 to Level 3. Illustrative examples of programmes include Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools, Early Years Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Caring for Child. You will need to demonstrate the ability to deliver an (in)formal, culturally competent, and inclusive curriculum to raise aspirations and make a difference to residents from diverse backgrounds within the city.

You will have experience of setting individual targets and evaluating learner progress and achievements through both accredited and non-accredited provision. You must evidence a good understanding of equity and inclusion, safeguarding and Prevent and be proactive in relation to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.

You will have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to a range of audiences and have the skills to promote Adult Education provision using a range of methods, including social media.

You should have English and Maths qualification at Level 2, a teaching qualification at Level 3. A subject specification qualification at Level 4 or equivalent is also desirable. The ability and willingness to teach in a range of venues within in the city, and throughout the year, is important.
