What is the job role?

Are you passionate about transforming lives through education? Do you have the drive to lead and innovate in adult learning? We’re looking for Lead Tutors to join our Essential Skills team, delivering high-quality English, Maths, and Digital Skills programmes that empower learners to reach their personal, educational, and employment goals.

What You’ll Do

Shape the Curriculum: Contribute to curriculum design, development and continuous improvement.
Manage and Coordinate: Supervise tutors and Learning Support Assistants, oversee delivery plans, and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
Quality Assurance: Undertake internal quality assurance duties and maintain high standards across the curriculum.
Innovate: Use digital platforms and creative teaching methods to enhance learning experiences.
Lead and Deliver: Plan, teach, and assess engaging adult learning sessions that make a real impact.
Support and Mentor: Coach and mentor tutors, share best practice, and champion quality teaching.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking skilled and passionate educators to take on a leadership role in delivering high-quality adult learning programmes across Coventry. You will have a strong understanding of adult learning principles, inclusive teaching practices, and curriculum development. You will be confident in planning and delivering engaging sessions, assessing learner progress, and supporting individuals to achieve their goals. In particular, we are looking for:
β€’ Qualified tutors with experience in adult and community learning.
β€’ Strong knowledge of English, Maths, and Digital Skills curriculum.
β€’ Excellent communication and leadership skills.
β€’ Ability to inspire learners and colleagues, adapt to diverse environments, and promote inclusion.
β€’ Relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) and assessor/IQA qualifications.
β€’ Commitment to safeguarding and equality.
