What is the job role?
Higher Level Teaching Assistant
35 hours per week – Monday-Friday. Term Time Only (39 weeks) 8:30am-4:00pm (30 minutes unpaid lunch break)

The Headteacher and Governing Body at Moat House Primary School are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated teaching assistant working at HLTA level. You will be a team player happy to work with experienced and supportive colleagues in order to enable a learning experience that gives children every opportunity to achieve their individual potential. Experience of working with KS2 children would be beneficial.
Under the direction and supervision of teaching/senior staff, you will:
- Undertake appropriate planning and preparation of lessons for individuals, groups and whole classes
- Deliver agreed lessons and learning experiences to individuals, groups and whole classes as required
- Assess the development, progress and attainment of pupils
- Report on the development, progress and attainment of pupils to the responsible teacher as appropriate

- Someone with good subject knowledge and understanding of KS2 and supporting children with SEND needs or are disadvantaged

You should have a minimum qualification of NVQ Level 3 in Child Care or equivalent. A relevant First Aid qualification or be willing to undertake First Aid at Work training would be an advantage.
