Early Help responds to the emerging needs of children and their families, focusing on building their resilience as well as providing help at a time when evidence indicates that support can have the most impact. Coventry continues to invest in the Early Help Service and is proud of the work that is delivered by a multi‑agency team from the eight Family Hubs located in the communities across the city.

What is the job role?
Make a real difference to children, young people and families in your community. We’re looking for a passionate and proactive Family Hub Practitioner to support children, young people and their families by delivering early help services. Working within our integrated Family Hub model, you’ll take a whole‑family approach to improving outcomes, building resilience and helping families access the right support at the right time.
In this rewarding role, you’ll work closely with a wide range of partners, including schools, health services, police, community organisations and volunteers to develop and deliver high‑quality services that meet local needs. You’ll plan and deliver evidence‑based programmes, support community engagement, develop new opportunities for families and help shape services through collaboration and innovation.
There are two roles: one permanent and one fixed‑term until March 2029. All candidates must have the right to work in the UK; no sponsorship will be offered.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver whole‑family early help services in partnership with local agencies and community groups.
- Facilitate one‑to‑one and group support for families, ensuring evidence‑based practice.
- Analyse information and data to inform service development and improvement.
- Build and maintain relationships with schools, health providers, police, community organisations and volunteers.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote safeguarding, early help and inclusivity.
Who are we looking for?
We’re seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and community‑focused professional who is passionate about improving outcomes for children, young people and families. You will have experience of working in partnership with a range of agencies, engaging diverse communities, supporting volunteers and delivering programmes that make a real difference.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Experience working with safeguarding, early help approaches and the challenges faced by families in disadvantaged communities.
Level 4 qualification (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field, with experience in early years, health, community development or family support services.
