If you enjoy working in a varied role, solving problems, and helping to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for local residents, this could be the perfect opportunity.
Working Pattern
This position offers a 27‑hour working week on a 12‑month rolling rota, providing a balance of structured and flexible working days. Every other weekend: Saturday and Sunday, 9am–6pm, plus one flexible weekday. Non‑weekend weeks: Three flexible working days between Monday and Friday.
Responsibilities
This role plays a key part in delivering our daytime out‑of‑hours service, responding to a range of environmental issues such as:
- Noise nuisance
- Unauthorised traveller encampments
- Untaxed or abandoned vehicles
- Nuisance car sales on the public highway
You’ll be empowered to take formal action where necessary, using the full range of legal powers available. This may include serving notices, issuing fixed penalties, preparing prosecution files, and attending court to present evidence.
Qualifications

- Keen to work independently and as part of a supportive team
A full UK manual driving licence is essential for this role. All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role. The post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
