The Facilities Management (FM) Service comprises several diverse and multi-disciplined teams that are responsible for the safe operation, management, maintenance and efficiency of the Council’s property assets. The teams provide a range of services and support to the Council’s operational, commercial and schools portfolios ensuring the Council’s legislative obligations are fulfilled.
The role includes managing operational leases, rent reviews and service charges, alongside analysing property and financial data to support decision-making and performance monitoring. You will also contribute to cost planning, project delivery, property records management and the continuous improvement of systems and procedures, ensuring compliance with professional standards and excellent customer service.
We are looking for someone with strong experience in property valuation, lease management and property cost analysis, with excellent analytical and organisational skills. You will have experience working with complex datasets, managing budgets and delivering professional property services. Applicants should have strong IT skills, including spreadsheet and database management, and ideally experience using CAD software such as AutoCAD. A professional qualification or membership with a recognised body such as RICS, RIBA or APM is desirable.
