Provide maintenance, repair, and operational support for disability aids, ensuring safety, functionality and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for carrying out all work in compliance with industry standards, British standards and applying relevant Approved Codes of Practice.
  • Carry out a variety of planned work and reactive repairs effectively and efficiently within target timescales given.
  • Ensure that all work issued is completed by due date and report full details of exceptions, including liaison with customers.
  • Plan and perform maintenance and repairs on disabled aids, including hoists and bath aids.
  • Deliver and collect disabled aids to Coventry residents across a range of industries including schools, residential and commercial sites.
  • Weight test, service and repair disabled aid equipment as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Ability to communicate in English and comprehend written instructions.
  • Previous work experience in a reactive repair environment is beneficial.
  • Holding a valid driving licence.
  • All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.
  • This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
