Overview
In this role you will provide high-quality KS2 classroom cover for Years 3–6, including planned PPA and management sessions, while supporting short-term teacher absence.
You will maintain routines, adapt learning to pupil needs, and foster a calm, high-expectation environment.
Working closely with teachers and leaders, you will support a pupil-centric approach and contribute to the school’s wider life.

Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality whole-class cover across KS2 and maintain routines
- Deliver planned cover for teachers during sessions across the school
- Adapt delivery of learning to meet pupils' needs
- Provide short-term cover for teacher absence with flexibility
- Establish positive relationships and a calm learning environment
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and learning
- Follow curriculum, behaviour, and safeguarding expectations
- Support pupils with SEND or needing extra scaffolding or challenge
- Provide feedback to class teachers after cover sessions
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and model school values
- Key requirements
