We have a very positive reputation within the local area and being one of the largest schools in Coventry, we are an integral part of the local community. What is the job role?

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and ambitious Higher Level Teaching Assistant to play a key role in the next step of our journey. This is a great opportunity for a motivated, dedicated and passionate professional to broaden their experience and further develop their skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality learning activities for individuals, small groups and whole classes, under the direction of the class teacher.
  • Support and, where appropriate, lead learning to ensure pupils make good progress and achieve their full potential.
  • Assess, monitor and provide feedback on pupils’ learning, progress and wellbeing.
  • Support pupils with additional needs, including SEND, ensuring inclusive access to the curriculum.
  • Promote positive behaviour and support pupils’ social, emotional and pastoral development.
  • Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment, in line with school policies and safeguarding procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to contribute to consistent, high‑quality provision across the school.
  • Support and guide other teaching assistants as required.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, pupils and parents to support learning and wellbeing.
  • Engage in professional development, training and coaching opportunities to continually improve practice.
