What is the job role?

This role will enhance our established Pastoral Team.

We are looking for someone who is motivated and committed to supporting young people and their families in their school environment and understands the challenges facing pupils from disadvantaged communities.

The successful candidate must have a proven track record of working with vulnerable young people and children.

The role is for a full‑time attendance officer working in partnership with the pastoral team and the senior leaders of the school.

Who are we looking for?

  • Have a good understanding of mentoring relationships with disadvantaged pupils.
  • Have knowledge and understanding of safeguarding in relation to the education sector.
  • Have a proven track record of working with vulnerable young people/children.
  • Have experience of maintaining accurate data in a MIS.
  • Have experience of working effectively with a variety of agencies to support families.
  • Have experience of partnership working and have the skills and ability to build and maintain positive relationships with partners and stakeholders.
