Coventry Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) Support Service exists to deliver the aspirational challenge set to us by young people with SEND and their families: ‘To Lift the Cloud of Limitation and enable them to enjoy an ordinary life’. We are a creative, connected and forward‑thinking service. Together with our families and partners in schools, settings, the NHS and third sector, we drive change that pushes us to the cutting edge of SEND.
We are looking for an Educational Psychologist or a Trainee Educational Psychologist in the final year of training. The successful candidate may work on a part‑time basis or as an associate EP. All candidates must have the right to work in the UK and will be required to pass a standard police check through the Disclosure and Barring Service.
Responsibilities- Use consultation and solution‑focused approaches to improve outcomes for children, young people and families.
- Recognise the importance of monitoring progress toward jointly‑agreed outcomes.
- Apply cutting‑edge research to practice.
- Effect change by working within and across whole school systems.
- Qualified Educational Psychologist or Trainee Educational Psychologist in final year of training.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Conditional on a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service check.
- Experience in supporting children and young people with SEND is desirable.
- High‑quality supervision, including weekly sessions led by a clinical psychologist.
- Excellent CPD offer with fortnightly training from external and internal speakers.
