The NIHR-funded HDRC Coventry aims to improve the use of evidence and research on the factors that impact the health of Coventry's diverse local communities. The team at Coventry City Council plays a vital role in meeting the HDRC objectives. We are striving to boost the capacity and skills for research in the council, by working together with local universities, the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector, and local communities.

What is the job role?

We are looking for a Project Officer to work as part of the Coventry HDRC. The important role will support the Coventry HDRC team in the organisation, coordination and administration of key functions of HDRC. The role will help ensure the smooth running of the collaboration with people from across the council, universities, voluntary sector agencies, NHS and residents. There is an opportunity to help develop new processes, such as the management and support for the development of research projects. This role is an 18-month fixed-term contract/secondment with possible extension.

Who are we looking for?

You’ll have significant experience in project support and admin duties. Experience in communicating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. You’ll be skilled at prioritising work, managing time and working autonomously under pressure to deliver to deadlines. You’ll be creative, proactive, and have experience in problem-solving and quick decision-making, whilst dealing with competing priorities. You will enjoy helping develop and learn new project and administrative processes in a supportive team environment, to help the programme and service run smoothly. Excellent skills with Microsoft Word Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc. All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.
