We require a Cook to join our team to support our residential and respite service for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, including those with dysphagia. The Cook will be responsible for preparing meals that meet a wide range of dietary requirements and cultural needs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals for service users, ensuring compliance with dietary needs such as minced & moist, pureed, soft & bite‑sized options.
  • Implement safe kitchen practices and adhere to food hygiene regulations.
  • Manage kitchen stock and ensure timely production of meals for residents.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Experience working in a commercial kitchen.
  • Knowledge of safe practices and food hygiene regulations.
  • Ability to meet differing dietary needs and cultural requirements.
  • Positive motivation and passion for cooking.
  • Right to work in the UK; not from a sponsorship‑requiring background.
  • Appointment conditional upon a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and completion of a Rehabilitation of Offenders Act exemption.
  • Eligible to participate in the Guaranteed Interview Scheme for specific groups.
