Coundon Primary School is looking to appoint a Catering Assistant to work as part of our busy team in the school kitchen. You will work alongside our catering team, delivering school dinners to the children in a fun and friendly manner. The role is term-time only and the hours of work are 11.30 am until 1.45 pm daily.
Who are we looking for?
- Has experience in basic food handling in either a working or non-working environment.
- Is aware of Catering Procedures and Health and Safety requirements.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.
We can offer training, support and an experienced, welcoming team of catering staff to work alongside.
The closing date for applications is midnight on Sunday 8 February 2026, and interviews will take place on Thursday, 12 February 2026.
Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced criminal record check via the DBS, all relevant safeguarding and pre-employment clearances, and the receipt of two satisfactory references.
