Job Summary


We are currently looking for warm, positive, and dedicated individuals to work in our Adult Turn Up the Heat on Your Career! Join Our Kitchen Crew at Eric Williams House. Permanent role: 25 hours/week (fixed rota).



Responsibilities



  • Support the preparation, cooking, and presentation of delicious meals - including special diets - all to departmental standards and in line with Food Hygiene Regulations.

  • Assist with receiving deliveries: checking quality, weight, and ensuring everything meets our standards.

  • Keep our kitchen sparkling - maintaining top-tier cleanliness of all areas, tools, and equipment.

  • Step up when needed: in the cook\'s absence, help allocate tasks and supervise the kitchen team.

  • Follow all Health & Safety at Work Regulations and promote safe working practices at all times.

  • Report any hazards, defects, or concerns to the manager straight away - safety first.

  • Take part in training and development opportunities that help you grow in the role.

  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities for vulnerable adults and children.

  • Ensure full compliance with Equal Opportunities Policy and Data Protection guidelines.

  • Carry out any additional tasks suitable for the role and salary grade when required.



Qualifications and Experience



  • Catering experience, or the enthusiasm to learn.

  • Understanding of Health & Safety.

  • Energy, positivity, and a brilliant team spirit.

  • Willingness to complete a DBS check.

  • Food Safety Level 2A training provided.
