Activities undertaken by the Insight team include: business intelligence; customer and location intelligence; engagement and consultation support; evaluative research; performance management; partnership working; providing advice and guidance on equalities and diversity issues and ensuring the Council discharges its Public Sector Equality Duty. What is the job role?

We are looking for a Business Intelligence and Insight Analyst to join the Performance and Insight Team supporting Adult Social Care Commissioning and Public Health Services. You will be working within a very busy, innovative, and forward-thinking team that collaborates with Adult Services to bring positive change to the lives of people in the city. All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.

Who are we looking for?

  • Knowledge of Adult Social Care Commissioning, Public Health and related reporting systems and performance frameworks
  • Research, data analysis, and ICT skills, including the ability to extract, interpret, and present complex data clearly
  • Ability to use BI tools such as Power BI and SQL
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Experience working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals
  • Experience in a similar analytical or performance reporting role (local authority experience is preferable)
  • A relevant degree or equivalent vocational experience in a data, research, or analytical field
