Working under the direction of our Supervising Team Leaders, you'll be part of a supportive team responsible for collecting household and commercial waste and recycling across the city.

No two days are the same, and you'll enjoy working outdoors, staying active, and contributing directly to the environment and wellbeing of the communities we serve.

What you'll be doing

  • Collecting household, commercial waste and recycling from a variety of locations.
  • Handling a range of containers, including household bins, caddies, sacks, and large commercial bins.
  • Working safely and efficiently as part of a dedicated team.
  • Completing required paperwork and maintaining accurate records using mobile technology.
  • Helping the team achieve daily service and performance targets while providing excellent customer service.
  • A valid HGV licence and Driver CPC qualification.
  • Good physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual work.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with colleagues and members of the public.
  • A positive, customer‑focused attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile.
  • Knowledge and understanding of waste and recycling collection practices.

As part of our dedicated frontline workforce, you'll help deliver essential waste and recycling services to residents and businesses across Coventry, Nuneaton, Bedworth, and the surrounding area.
