What is the job role?
We are looking for Apprentice Compliance Officers to join our Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO) Teams. You will be working under the general direction of the HMO Licensing and Enforcement Team Manager, supporting key services provided to landlords, tenants, and residents in the city.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a caseload, carrying out activities relating to the compliance of private sector housing and providing assistance to the HMO Licencing Team Manager and other Officers conducting enforcement investigations.

This apprenticeship role is a fixed-term contract for 24 months in line with the length of the apprenticeship training.

Qualifications & Eligibility
Age at start of Apprenticeship 16‑18: GCSE Maths and English at grade 4/C or above, or equivalent e.g. Functional Skills Level 2. If not, you will be required to complete Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English as part of the apprenticeship.
Age at start of Apprenticeship 19+: GCSE Maths and English at grade 4/C or above, or equivalent e.g. Functional Skills Level 2. If not, you must achieve a minimum of Functional Skills Entry Level 3 as part of the assessment process.
You will be given the option to undertake Functional Skills Level 2 in maths and/or English should you wish.
