About the Role

We are looking for an Advanced Social Worker (Advanced Practitioner) to join our West area Help and Protection team on a full‑time permanent basis. You will oversee a caseload of the most complex cases in children’s services and play a pivotal role in providing coaching, mentoring and support to both newly qualified social workers (NQSWs) and experienced social workers.

Eligibility & Requirements

All candidates must have the right to work in the UK. We are not offering sponsorship for this role.

You will be committed and passionate about practice, sharing learning and knowledge, and developing others. You will have a solid understanding of and be an advocate for the principles of diversity and inclusion in relation to workplace culture and service delivery.

You will possess a recognised professional Social Work qualification (MA/BA/BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work or CQSW) and Social Work England registration. You will have experience in working with children and families in a statutory social care setting and demonstrable experience in decision making on case work from Children in Need to Permanency Planning, including court work.
