The Combination of the Coventry Building Society and the Cooperative Bank creates the UK’s 7th largest mortgage lender and a mutual retail banking alternative to the big banks. The Group Commercial Office will be integral to the future development of the customer proposition and the commercial success of the combined business.
As a Product Performance Manager in the Homes team, the role holder will play a central role in developing and delivering pricing strategies that ensure strong commercial performance and customer outcomes. Working closely with the Lead Performance Manager, they’ll shape pricing decisions that balance margin, risk, balance sheet sustainability and customer growth. The role holder will support the production of the annual strategic plan and ongoing forecasts that inform pricing decisions and value stream objectives. These forecasts will ensure commercial plans are both ambitious, achievable and support the delivery of the Group’s targets.
Alongside pricing and forecasting, develop high-quality performance analysis and insight to track business performance, identify risks and opportunities and produce evidence-based pricing proposals aligned to the Group’s growth ambitions. This role sits at the heart of product pricing and forecasting, building strong, trusted relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across teams including product, commercial, finance, treasury and insight. Through clear communication and collaboration, it aligns stakeholders and manages expectations to ensure decisions are well understood.

About you
To be successful in this role it’s essential you have:
- Experience in pricing, forecasting, performance analysis or financial modelling
- Experience in planning, forecasting and financial interpretation
- Strong experience creating performance analytics and commercial insight
- Ability to develop and report on key value drivers and commercial outcomes
- Strong Excel skills and data interpretation capability
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear insight
- Proven stakeholder management and collaborative working style
Desirable experience will be:
- Pricing experience within UK financial services, ideally mortgages
- Understanding of mortgage market dynamics, competitor activity and commercial trade-offs
- Experience using analytical tools and advanced techniques to support pricing and strategy
