Roles like this don’t come up too often! Due to internal secondment we’re looking for a fantastic Marketing Manager to join us on a 12 month basis in our newly formed Everyday banking team. Working in a fast-paced space, this role will be part of an innovative team during an exciting time for the group. The remit is varied as a product marketing expert; it will craft plans to maximise the customer lifecycle. Using data and insight, the role holder will develop the full funnel acquisition strategies, including brand and performance led campaigns across the channel mix. It will also create exciting and engaging communications to support upsell and cross sell, retaining customers and building journeys that create value and brand loyalty.
Experienced in working in a regulatory environment, the role holder will excel at stakeholder management, using their skills to influence and persuade colleagues and suppliers. This role will act as marketing lead in various working groups, presenting up to the senior leadership as well as using their commercial awareness to make decisions for commercial success. As a leader, this role will actively help the Marketing Team and Commercial Office succeed, collaborating with other leaders to problem solve and drive positive outcomes for the group (Coventry Building Society and The Co-operative Bank). This role can operate from either our Head Office campus in Binley, Coventry or our Manchester office but as a Group role, travel to both locations will be required. A team-led hybrid working arrangement is in place.

To be successful in this role it’s essential you have:
- Marketing experience within retail banking.
- Proven campaign and media management, with demonstrable results.
- Leadership experience.
- Good commercial and regulation awareness, using insights to drive decision making.
- Excellent customer communication skills.
- Proficient at producing effective materials of high quality that meet the brief and deadlines set.
- Highly organised and with the ability to question and have good attention to detail.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills including the ability to persuade and influence.
Desirable experience will be:
- Personal Current Account knowledge.
- Leading through change or integration of teams.
