About the role

Our Wootton Bassett branch are looking for a Customer Service Specialist to join their team! This is a 12 month opportunity. The role involves helping people by having lots of different conversations with our diverse range of customers, supporting them through our range of products and resolving any queries they may have. Building relationships with them and understanding what services suit their needs will be important. Being a team player is really important as well as being a role model to the team. The role also includes taking responsibility by finding resolutions, and sometimes dealing with more sensitive or challenging situations. It's also important to keep up to date with our policies and procedures so that knowledge can be shared with others. Supporting all our customers in different ways by taking telephone calls when required and dealing with administration enquiries are also parts of the role.

About you

For this role you'll already be in a customer service focused role with good experience of helping others. You'll like talking to lots of different people and be accurate and keen to learn, so you're able to deal with our customers' enquiries.

To be successful in this role it's essential you have:

  • Current experience interacting directly with customers and providing great service on a daily basis
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to talk to lots of different people
  • Experience of handling challenging and/or complex customers enquiries in a careful and sensitive way
  • Good teamwork skills and experience of supporting others

Desirable experience will include:

  • Experience of working in a retail banking environment
  • Coaching and/or leading other team members
