This role will join the Group’s Economic Crime 1LoD Risk Strategy, Systems & Analytics team, a central function responsible for shaping and delivering economic crime prevention strategies across the organisation. Working closely with operational, digital, change and product teams, the role holder will use data, technology and insight to strengthen the Group’s response to an evolving financial crime landscape. This is a 12 month opportunity.As a TM Tuning & Optimisation Specialist (AML & Sanctions), the role holder will be responsible for the design, calibration and continuous enhancement of transaction monitoring and screening controls. They will ensure detection scenarios remain risk‑aligned, effective and operationally efficient, balancing strong financial crime protection with sustainable alert volumes and customer outcomes.In this hands on position the role holder will lead, implement and optimise tuning strategies across AML and sanctions systems, defining thresholds, segmentation approaches and detection logic to reflect customer risk profiles and emerging threats. Working closely with risk, analytics, technology and governance teams, the person in post will ensure all optimisation decisions are evidence‑based, well governed and effectively implemented. This is a highly strategic role with significant exposure across risk, analytics and technology, offering the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the Group’s economic crime prevention capabilities.This role can be based from our Head Office in Manchester or Binley, Coventry on a hybrid basis but travel to both locations will be required.
