You will be part of the Operations Team, which is dedicated to ensuring Procurement best practice is followed and associated guidance and policies relating to third parties. The role holder will be responsible for documenting, maintaining and developing the key processes within the Procurement Function, the sourcing and resource plan for the Function.
The role holder will develop and improve the processes in Source to Contract, SRM and Procure-to-Pay and support the Group Procurement & SRM team in providing an excellent service to our colleagues and stakeholders. They will own the key policies maintained by the Group with relevance in this area and be responsible for core procurement processes for Strategic sourcing, Purchase to pay and SRM.
This role will work across all procurement and our stakeholders, to ensure that Procurement Excellence solutions are rolled out and embedded throughout the organisation. In addition, the role holder will make recommendations for improving policy process efficiency in a manner that increases the overall productivity of the Function and drives cost control and efficiency across the organisation whilst ensuring that it effectively mitigates the risk inherent in the Group's supply chain.
This will include working with the sourcing and SRM teams on continuous improvement activity which maximises process and payment efficiency and controls of the c. £400m per annum group third party spend. The role holder will be expected to participate in broader initiatives and projects within the Procurement Function as required.

About you: Ideally you will be a detail-focused person with strong skills in process management, analytics, planning and performance management experience, ideally gained within a financial services background. You should have a detailed knowledge of procurement as a discipline together with analytical and planning models and approaches/techniques necessary to achieve best in class P2P and source to contract models.
You will have good relationship management and networking skills and experience which will be required for both key stakeholders and supplier engagement with a track record of simplifying organisational processes to deliver significant productivity improvements and efficiencies. You will also be a natural people leader, displaying significant energy, focused on colleague development. Team orientated with excellent communications and presentation skills.
For this role you'll need to have:
- Experience in process redesign which delivered improved productivity and speed to market whilst maintaining risk mitigation.
- Understanding of procurement processes and how these operate in financial services.
- A track record of resource planning and the ability to create analytical and planning models.
- The ability to work with all desktop applications - MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
- The ability to meet multiple deadlines and prioritise activities.
5+ years experience in Procurement or Financial organisation. CIPS accreditation or NOA equivalent or ITIL qualifications and understanding.
