It is an exciting time to join The Group’s Strategy team as the organisation brings together two businesses into one strong, future-focused entity. The team is seeking a Lead Business Architect to support the achievement of business goals through the design of future-state architectures and associated change roadmaps. This role is responsible for leading the development of how the business will operate in the future and guiding the changes required to realise that vision.
The successful candidate will lead the development of business architecture to ensure alignment between business and technology strategies. They will work closely with key stakeholders across the Group to drive the creation of target business and operating models, define transition states, and develop enterprise business roadmaps. The role is instrumental in establishing a business architecture framework that enables a common language and consistent assessment approach across the organisation.
The Lead Business Architect will drive the modelling of value streams, business capabilities, and operating models, while coordinating both the “what” and the “how” required to deliver the Group’s strategic goals. They will also lead the development of enterprise business roadmaps in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture, supporting business areas in articulating their operational strategies across transition states. In addition, the role involves presenting insights and recommendations to internal forums, external partners, and leadership teams. The individual will also oversee the creation of artefacts that define the enterprise context, ensuring clear alignment between the Group’s strategic ambitions and its long-term technology plans.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be an experienced professional with a strong background in business architecture, business transformation, and strategic alignment.
Our essential requirements are:
- Experience in architecture and or IT with a broad understanding of the DNA of technology
- Detailed understanding of Business Architecture frameworks (TOGAF or Zachman)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence
- Ability to think strategically and work across teams.
Our desirable requirements are:
- Familiar with BPMN and Lean Sigma
- Technology/Science degree
