This is a key role in the Enterprise Architecture team, providing an exciting opportunity for someone with extensive experience of Enterprise Architecture and ideally financial services, who can confidently act as a subject matter expert, engaging positively with key business leader stakeholders and where required represent the CBS Technology team internally and externally. You will be responsible for collaborating with the Business Owners & Sponsors to translate the Enterprise strategy into your portfolio (i.e. manifest in Portfolio Strategic Themes, Portfolio Vision and Guardrails). Role will also involve establishing the portfolio technology strategy and roadmap as well as contributing to helping the portfolio and value streams adhere to the budget guardrails and driving the architectural design for the solution in the portfolio.
You will conduct research and identify prototyping needs, understanding applicability and scope, and assessing the maturity of innovative new technologies and define cross-cutting Enabler Epics, typically spanning multiple value streams and Programme Increments (PIs).
We operate on a team led hybrid approach with 2-3 days per week in the Coventry & / or Manchester office. Role requires travel to other sites for key meetings and collaborative working subject to business demand. Role can be based in Coventry or Manchester. You will be highly effective at both written and verbal communication with substantial experience of writing committee papers and developing working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels, especially business leaders.
For this role you'll need to have:
- Excellent understanding of architecture, associated strategies and frameworks.
- Extensive experience shaping enterprise architecture and technology solutions for payment capabilities in financial services organisations; aligning regulatory obligations, operational resilience requirements and business growth objectives.
- Well developed interpersonal, analytical, planning and organising skills, an attention to detail, a high level of accuracy and the ability to work on your own initiative.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent and architecture certified e.g. TOGAF.
- Significant relevant strategy, enterprise architecture experience gained preferably in FS industry.
- Previous experience in-direct influencing and consulting with senior business leaders.
Experience in these areas would be helpful:
- Able to think and talk to abstract, logical or theoretical concepts in a strategic and business context.
