About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Supplier Risk and Assurance Officer to join our Procurement team. This role is critical in ensuring third party risk frameworks and policies are complied with.
You\’ll be responsible for understanding and tracking risks and completing due diligence and assurance activities across third-party relationships and ensuring that our suppliers meet compliance and performance standards. A key part of the role involves leading the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process, which includes testing how well our risk controls are working within Procurement and other areas of the business.
Communication is key, as you\’ll work with a range of stakeholders, respond to queries about third-party risk, and suggest practical solutions to improve how risks are managed.

Responsibilities
- Understand and monitor third-party risk to support risk management decisions.
- Complete due diligence and assurance activities across third-party relationships to ensure supplier compliance and performance standards are met.
- Lead the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process, including testing the effectiveness of risk controls within Procurement and other areas of the business.
- Communicate with stakeholders, respond to queries about third-party risk, and propose practical solutions to improve risk management.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of the regulatory environment informing Third Party Risk activity.
- Ability to create accurate, meaningful reports and manage logs, reports and folders relating to Third Party Risk.
- Demonstrable experience of risk management, including documenting risk and controls, assessing controls, logging events and ongoing monitoring of the enterprise risk management framework.
- Experience of assessing supplier compliance to Policy and recommending mitigating actions where necessary.
- Proven ability to work across specialist teams to leverage subject matter expertise in risk assessment and management.
- Proficient in MS Office including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships at all levels.
- Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and strong organizational skills to meet deadlines.
