Overview
A Middle grade Psychiatrist is required to work in a community mental health team and will be required to work closely with a range of professionals in a multidisciplinary team (including Community Psychiatric nurses, Psychologists, community wellbeing practitioners, occupational therapists and social workers).
Responsibilities
- Assess new referrals from GPs, inpatient wards, transfers from Home Treatment teams and internal referrals.
- Provide assessments, make appropriate diagnoses, and formulate short‑term and long‑term management plans.
The Doctor will have the support of a consultant Psychiatrist when necessary and will be required to work at St Mary\’s Lodge, Leamington Spa.
Location & Contract
St Mary\’s Lodge, Leamington/ Warwick Resource Centre, Warwick Fixed Term – 20 P/W.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience of psychiatry, including working with people suffering from severe mental illness, preferably in a community setting. A/C Section 12 preferred but not essential.
